Innovations for the cargo bike eco-system: taking cargo mainstream
Join our interactive panel discussion session led by Richard Armitage, Director, Manchester Bikes and former Director, European Cycle Logistics Federation and Oliver Ivens, Head of Consulting, MP Smarter Travel

What can we do straightaway to increase the adoption of cargo bikes and cycle logistics in our towns and cities?
Cargo bikes are providing clean, cost-effective and convenient solutions to business, environmental, logistical, congestion and health challenges across the UK and beyond.
According to the Bicycle Association, eCargo bikes are the key growth area across the UK bike market, with sales increasing by 37% in the 12 months to May 2022, compared with the previous year.
The recent decision by Amazon to invest £300m in its UK electric fleet, including cargo bikes, offer key opportunities – but the UK needs to be ready take advantage by developing its cargo bike eco-system.
• Cargo bikes for business, council services and leisure
• Rider training, safety, security and standards
• Repairs, support services and roadside assistance
• Cargo bike libraries
• Incentive schemes to encourage early adopters - business and consumers
• Contract management services for cargo bike fleets
• Public cargo bike share
• Encouraging cargo bike use in the community
• And much more…
